Writing words and lists for building wellness
mine and others…
Ayurvedic Articles
my article on the impacts of trauma and personality on digestive disorders and Ayurvedic wisdom to manage.
I’ve learned some more since I wrote this from other cultures and will add over time.
Trauma Sensitivity/my not trauma sensitive call out. (Resource for teachers) I wrote this to call out a few years ago, rather than call in. If you have trauma it’s not necessary to read this, but if you are harming others, give this a go and be kind to me and yourself while you process.
Songs and words for the compassionate.
…In a world that has decided that it is going to loose its’ mind, be more kind my friends try to be more kind.”
-Frank Turner
-Maya Angelou
“We cannot overcome what we ignore”
“The issues are connected because we are connected.”
“The world will say to you, “there is so much hate” respond to it with love.”
-Cleo Wade
-Sia
“So what are we doing here? What has been done? What are you going to do about it when the world comes undone”
“My voice sounds tiny and I’m sure so does yours, put us all together make a mighty ROAR.”
“I am resilient. I trust the movement. I negate the chaos. Uplift the negative.
I’ll show up at the table again and again and again.
I’ll close my mouth and learn to listen.”
-Rising Apalachia
“You are powerful like a fire. You can heal the world with your mind. There is nothing in the world that you cannot do, when you believe in you.”
“The next time the radio tells you to shake your money maker. Shake your head and tell them you are a leader.”
-India Arie
And sometimes, only sometimes, they begin to wonder,
What their ten year old selves would have said to one another.
Like…
I wish I had the wingspan to soar you to what’s after. Like I wish I could just swoop you up and wrap you in my laughter.
Like I wish I could return you to this earth in just my palm.
Like if my palm could be your satellite and your job to just hold on.
But your survival will be grace making.
Yes, your arrival will be breath taking.
And I will be here when you beat fear,
When you reach here;
When you find me.”
-Alix Olsen
First, I cry my eyes out and dry out my heart.
…
The second thing I do is I close both of my eyes and say my thank you’s to each and every moment of my life.
I go where I know the love is and let it fill me up inside.
Gathering new strength from sorrow,
I am glad to be alive.
…
things are looking up.
…
The third thing that I do when my world caves in,
Is that I pause,
I take a bow
and I let the chapter end.
I design my future bright not by where my life has been,
and I try, try, try, try,
Try again.”
– Jason Mraz
