These photos sum it up. I like moss and earth. I like unexpected animal friendships. Feminist is not a bad word. I am a little bit gay. I’ve got chronic pain and disabilities. Sometimes I write. Sometimes I write theme songs about unexpected animal friendships. I think I’m pretty funny so I laugh at myself…only to realize I am in public and everyone thinks I’m crazy. I like ducks. I like ducks a lot! sometimes at Beacon Hill I try to attract the ducks with my duck dance and sounds. This just scares the humans. I don’t mind this because I am an introvert. I can have a dark sense of humour. This shocks people. I think they think short people are supposed to be sweet or that sweetness and dark humour are mutually exclusive. Sometimes I think this is why I might just BE an introvert. I like diversity. I like diverse people. I like diverse experiences and environments. I do wellness practices and have experienced no miracle cures though have better health with than without them. I hope to one day adopt a dog for my cat, Jujube.
Kind movement.
I started yoga when I was sixteen. Kind movement can still be challenging for me as so many things in life feel performative. I hope to move away from that. Kind movement is an intention that if at times my actions do not reflect kindness, I may move back to it. In order to be kind to myself and others, I understand that the thoughts I have towards myself impact how I act towards others.
Compassionate mind.
Kindness requires compassion. Forgiveness requires accountability. In order to be kind to myself I acknowledge my mistakes so I may forgive myself and in doing so practice kindness. In order to be kind to you, I hold you accountable, if you are kind to yourself we can move kindly together. If not we cannot. If I am not kind to myself, I cannot move kindly with you. At the end of the day, may we practice forgiveness.
